gaming day: saturday, january 15th, 2005 [Jan. 5th, 2005|11:55 pm]

First gaming afternoon of the New Year! Starts at 2:00p on Saturday, January 15th. Bring weird card, board, dice, and word games you want to try out (pretty much anything except money gambling and role playing games are, uh, fair game.)

Any takers?

earlier?

I know you said you had other gaming plans that evening, but it'll be fun to have you over even if just for the afternoon. Is 2p too late? we can try starting an early session, if you think that would work better.

Re: earlier?

I think 2 is OK; my gamemaster made noises about changing start time to 4pm instead of 7pm; I voted against it, but haven't heard anything decisive. I can probably be late this time, anyway. I need a reminder on directions.

got change for ten million people?

We'll see. I'm a little wary of playing Nuke War with a bunch of people, as the turns start to take a long time. Maybe if everyone already knows how to play it, it might work out.

Although now I'm itching to get the rest of the expansion packs (I've got the main game and one expansion pack -- I know there's one more, and there might be another after that one...)

late is fine

No worries -- usually we game until 6-7p, then either order a pizza or walk over for sushi or similar.

See you then!

Well it's too long of a drive for us - but we're having our own gaming day that day too. Nick (LJ name Ardemus ((someone needs to teach me how to make the name show up properly))) will be teaching us a roleplay game about vampires. I've never done an rp before, even though I'm a Magic junkie. I know it's not your cup of tea, but I'm interested to see how it works. So - we'll think of you while we're gaming too :)

5 hours is too long?

Slackers! :)

Just kidding. It was great to see you two over New Year's, and I will hopefully be able to meet up with you in L.A. later this month. (Might also drag Dave over; he likes good board and card games too.)

And as for making names show up properly, you just type: <lj user="username"> (See more detailed answer in the FAQ)

Re: neener neener

Aye.

But at least I will be (hopefully) seeing scantilly clad women in 80 degree weather in HI.

:D

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on the address -- hopefully you got the information eventually, though?

Looking forward to having you over! :)
