My latest art project. I call it:

Just shows how handy it is to have some rope around the house.

Sit on my chair, and tell me that you love me!
I'll sit on your chair and say that I love you truly...
Silly girl, getting all bent out of shape just because I'm repairing a chair... :)

Re: I'm not saying one word...

Sorry if that was TMI... but I couldn't resist sharing. And here is the said icon I felt appropriate. The full pic is much better, but I try to keep things work safe as much as possible.

Innocent my ass

Isn't it funny how such an "innocent" picture can generate so many comments?

At least *I* have a good excuse for those ropes to illicit such a response...

You're right; there's nothing at all innocent about your ass.

Indeed. And there is no photographic evidence to the contrary.

Re: I'm not saying one word...

You don't think anyone will let an insignificant detail like photographic proof sway them, do you? All that stuff could've been photoshopped in.. yeah.. that's it!

Somehow, I don 't think innocence particularly appeals to deliriumdreams :)

eep!

Nope, you're too tiny to have done that damage. Was a combination of (1) cheap Ikea chair [n.p., I got what I paid for] and (2) having a "little brother" who is around 300lb. raindancer knows him, she can attest to his ... bulk.

Although I honestly don't remember if that chair was damaged before Joe came to visit. *shrug* We'll see how well ye olde wood glue fixes it. If not at all, well, it's just a chair.

Re: eep!

Yes, I knew him from 1st grade on, your little bro that is. I haven't seen him for over 10 years I'd say though. (how is he btw?) Flaming red hair and large. Sheesh I'm really tiny.

Re: eep!

He's doing alright. He's still in Denver, sometimes doing video production work, although currently he's doing some research (?) for my sister's gig of environmental consultant.

Yeah, that didn't make any sense, did it? That's what I get for posting so soon after waking up. :)

The most recent picture I have of him is from Amanda & Becker's wedding a few weekends ago:

Lisanna, Tony, Joe

He's still quite large; an inch or two taller than me, and anywhere from 50-100lb heavier. Looking for a pic where we're both standing. Here's one from October 2003:

Tony, Joe

He used to come down to Albuquerque with some frequency; if he does anytime soon, or if you make it up to Denver, it might be amusing to have you two meet up for lunch or something. :)

Re: eep!

I never knew your lil bro too well, but it would be interesting to meet up with him sometime =).

He looks nice in that tux. Do I know the guy poking is head in the pic in the background? I'm thinking I do...

Re: eep!

I think that his name is either Jeremy or Jesse. He was another of the LCHS crowd that hung out with Joe, Morgan, and that crowd.

But I could be completely wrong. :)

A trip down memory lane

Here I just thought it was a funny artwork pic....then I read the comments. I am now hopping blissfully down memory lane with a pic of you and Joe, and references to LCHS (cringe)....sigh.

Thank GOD we're not in high school anymore.

You and Joe look great in that pic, BTW. Hows the rest of the family unit?

Re: A trip down memory lane

Hey man! Didn't know you were still lurking here on LJ. Belated but still very Happy Birthday to you!

Family is doing ok. Louis is still being a Republican fucktard... er, I mean, patriotic government contractor out in DC; he and Lucia have two boys, and they must be ... 8 and 5 or so by now. Eeek.

Lisanna is up in Denver; she and Alex have two little girls (6 and 3), and are expecting another baby at the end of the summer or so. Alex just left the security of MCI for a job with a startup firm, so that is exciting.

Joe is, well, Joe. :) He's still living in the basement of the Cook St house in Denver; as I mentioned above (in my response to raindancer, from the other Ewing clan within 200ft of your parents' house!), he does some freelance video work, but is currently putting in hours doing research on Lisanna's project.

Mom and Dad were both out in Virginia for most of the spring, and I think my dad is out there still, helping my brother slog through taxes. Mom is probably back down in Louisiana by now.

Still no trips to TX on the horizon; my schedule is starting to fill up for the summer, and until I bail on this job (or at least take a sabbatical), I just don't see much PTO opening up. Once it does, though, road trip city. :)

Hope your family is doing well! I will hopefully be in LC for July 4th -- I know, don't get me started, but there's a bit of a gathering of the NMSU / Ars Nova Guild pod happening then -- if you're around, we should meet up; even if your not, I should stop by your parents' place and give my regards. :)

Take care!
