Anyone else doing the Rosarito-to-Ensenada bike ride this weekend?

that would be really fun.

50 miles. I would love to skate that. (inline skate) of course it would take me forever. lol

We'll see how I feel afterwards. Currently, I'm mostly excited, but also a little nervous about the logistics of the trip — this will be the first time I've driven in Mexico, which requires a fair bit of documentation and preparation.

On top of that, the friends I'm going down with are both on recumbent bikes, and I'm not quite sure how we're planning on getting all three bikes onto my car. Hmm.

Finally, I really don't like crowds, and I'm hearing numbers like 10000 or 15000 (yes, ten to fifteen thousand) cyclists, let alone support personnel. They tell us to expect it to take over an hour just to get everyone across the start line. Eeek.

Anyway, I'll report back whenever we return. And if you ever want amusement, I can send you a video of me on inline skates. Short version: Tkil and sports requiring a sense of balance do not mix. (Bicycling doesn't count: there are these two huge gyroscopes holding you upright...)
