I'm too exhausted from doing my pathetic white-boy raver
bit to do much of a review, but I can say: this show was fantastic. They
played almost all my favorites, and had a surprisingly
vibrant stage show. And they had Kristy Thirsk singing!
(She is as cute as I thought she was...)
The only down sides were an excessively long intermission
between the two acts, and the stupidly loud sound level.
It might have had something to do with where I was standing
(front center for a while) but I could hardly hear anything
over the bass. Which, for almost any other electronic band,
would be fine — but Delerium has fantastic vocals,
and it's a shame that they got washed out.
Oh, and they didn't play “A Poem for Byzantium”.
Anyway, if this tour is coming
anywhere near you,
a point to go see it. I don't know if I was particularly
jazzed because I am so familiar with the music, but I felt
it was a great show. Even the crowd was great —
